Keyon Dooling Sports and Wellness Counselor

Keyon Dooling is a former NBA player, author, motivational speaker and NBP. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He attended Cardinal Gibbons High School, graduated from Dillard High School, and was a local youth basketball phenom. Mr. Dooling attended the University of Missouri, where he became Round 1 and 10th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft. Keyon played for seven NBA teams including the LA Clippers, New Jersey Nets, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics. Mr. Dooling served eight years on the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Board in various leadership roles throughout his NBA career. He was also a former regional union representative for the NBPA. Keyon Dooling is an author, certified life and wellness coach, motivational public speaker and past ambassador for several national corporate and nonprofit brands. Keyon has done numerous TV and print interviews including Jada Pinckett Smith’s Red Table Talk, FOX’s Soul with The Book of Sean, Katie Coutics syndicated talk show and the Players Tribune. He currently serves as Wellness Counselor for the National Basketball Players Association. Keyon, along with the NBPA’s Mental Health and Wellness Department believe mental health and wellness is at the core of maintaining balance between a Player’s professional, business, personal, family, and spiritual lives. Keyon is President and Co-Founder of Dooling Enterprises which is a conglomerate of business ventures with a mission to empower and inspire others towards their best life through strategies that are intentional, innovative and balanced.

The site provides an opportunity to book motivational speakers, life coaches and wellness pop-ups throughout the country at events, conferences and business meetings. The goal of the wellness pop-up program is to improve individual mental health outcomes and help organizations create cultures that emphasises wellness as a core value. Along with his wife Natosha founded the RESPECT Foundation. The programs facilitate awareness campaigns including the I AM RESPECT TOUR. The program is designed to meet young people where they are with live performances, motivational speakers and technology that provides wellness information, knowledge and solutions related to youth respecting themselves and others, life skills and character development that’s fun and engaging.
